A mysterious version of Frère Jacques in D minor for four double basses leads into a round in D major.
Bass 4 is all in first position while all the others have some notes in third position as well as first position.
The rhythms are simple but good counting is needed.
The first half is full of glissandi, tremolo, and pizzicato effects
